Looking to increase your workplace mojo?  Then join WIA for our second workshop in the  "How To..." series, a free semi-monthly professional development workshop that is exclusively for WIA members.  If you're not yet a member, click here to join! 

 

Under the guidance of professional coaches and experts, you'll learn new skills, enhance your talents, and gain knowledge to benefit your career.

 

Join us for breakfast and network with your fellow WIA colleagues. Coffee and donuts will be provided by our sponsor.  (A call-in option is available, but we strongly encourage in-person participation.)

Don't know a tweet from a twerp?  Want to learn how to link in on LinkedIn?  Is it all geek to you? 

 

It won't be after you and other WIA members join a morning workshop on using Twitter and LinkedIn to build your network, your brand and your contact list!     

 

Taught by NASA's social media manager, you'll learn tips and tricks of Twitter, how to build your network through LinkedIn, and how to grow your reputation and career.

PRESENTER: Stephanie Schierholz 

 

Stephanie Schierholz

Stephanie Schierholz is NASA's social media manager and an agency spokesperson. She has 10 years' experience leading strategic communications, media relations, and public outreach efforts. She provides strategic communications guidance to NASA's senior management and is an advocate for incorporating emerging communications technologies into the agency's public outreach activities.

 

In her role as social media manager, she leads NASA's social media activities, including the primary NASA Twitter account, @NASA, and NASA Tweetups in Washington and at shuttle launches. She initiated and led the development of a NASA Stylebook and was a contributing editor to "NASA: 50 Years of Exploration and Discovery." Before coming to NASA, Ms. Schierholz was the director of communications for the Space Foundation. When not dreaming of spaceflight, she is the president-elect of Women in Aerospace, an inaugural member of the British Council's Transatlantic Network 2020, and a member of the Public Relations Society of America.
