Judy Smith is Vice President of Business Development at ITT Information Systems – a leading provider of advanced engineering services and integrated network solutions for a broad range of customers. Headquartered in Herndon, VA, ITT Information Systems has a strong heritage of applying highly specialized talent to provide customers with innovative solutions for their most critical missions, including the defense and intelligence, air traffic management, space and earth science, and homeland defense markets. Appointed to this position in July 2010, Ms. Smith is responsible for identifying and qualifying new business opportunities and ensuring strategic alignment with the business portfolio and financial objectives – from pursuit, to bid opportunity, to contract signing, through building and maintaining customer relationships. She consistently collaborates with the ITT Information Systems executive team to develop, maintain and execute strategic business plans to successfully achieve performance and growth objectives for the business. Ms. Smith has 30 years of experience in key management, advisory and leadership positions providing support to agencies within the Department of Defense. Her focus has been on executive-level strategy, business development and technical delivery for enterprise solutions, IT strategy and policy and IT process engineering. Prior to joining ITT, Ms. Smith began her career at Northrop Grumman and has held leadership positions at Lockheed Martin, GTE and Booz Allen Hamilton. Additionally, she was the managing partner for OnPoint Consulting. Ms. Smith received a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and a master’s degree in computer science from the Johns Hopkins University, and an MBA from the University of Baltimore. She has also completed several telecommunications management courses at the University of Maryland. She is black belt trained in Lean Six Sigma. She is a member of several boards and has been the recipient of several awards for mentoring and community involvement.
