Anne Connor
Aerospace Industries Association (AIA)

Anne currently serves as a Government Relations Representative for the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA). She joined AIAA in April 2004 and manages the Space and Workforce & Education portfolios for the Institute. During her tenure at AIAA, Anne has been responsible for organizing several issue forums on Capitol Hill and at AIAA technical conferences, and for coordinating AIAA's grassroots advocacy network. She is also a very active participant, on behalf of AIAA, in several industry coalitions. Before her post at AIAA, Anne worked for Congressman C.L. "Butch" Otter (R-Idaho) as his scheduler, managing both Idaho and DC appointments. This job followed directly from her position as a consultant at an Idaho-based public affairs firm, Veritas Advisors, LLP. At Veritas Advisors, she served multiple program management roles for a variety of clients. This included working on behalf of non-profit organizations to develop their capital campaigns, fundraising for political candidates, and implementation of statewide ballot initiative campaigns. Anne received her B.A. in Political Science, with minors in Economics and German, at the University of Idaho in May 1998. Immediately following her formal education, she completed a study-abroad and internship program in Vienna, Austria where she served as intern for the United Nations Drug Control Programme. Anne has been an active member of WIA since first joining AIAA in the Spring 2004 and continuously looks for opportunities where AIAA can support WIA activities. She also serves on the board of the Brian Ellis Memorial Foundation, whose purpose is to provide scholarships for students at the University of Idaho that are members of Farmhouse Fraternity and to benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
