Dr. Felicia Jones serves KBR as the Chief Technology Officer and Vice President of Strategic Solutions in its Government Solutions U.S. business segment. Dr. Jones provides executive leadership focusing on enabling technologies and scalable technology solutions across a broad portfolio of technology capabilities to drive business growth across the national security, science and space sectors.

Dr. Jones has an impressive career history leading large multi-disciplinary technical teams and overseeing the implementation of national and international space programs. As the former Director of Engineering and Technology at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center, she led a world-class engineering and research organization with an average of over 3,500 engineers and technologists and an average budget of more than $5 billion for NASA and other government agencies. At NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center, Dr. Jones directed the technical implementation of NASA’s Earth science, space science, and exploration missions throughout all phases of the mission life cycle. Additionally, she also spearheaded strategic technology and new business initiatives, specifically in support of advancing the nation's science, human exploration, and space technology programs.

Dr. Jones’ previous roles also include Deputy Director of Engineering at the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center and Program Advisor at the National Oceanic Atmospheric Administration National Environmental Satellite, Data, and Information Service (NOAANESDIS) working on the National Polar-orbiting Operational Environmental Satellite System (NPOESS) Risk Reduction Program. Additionally, Dr. Jones has held positions such as the Deputy Director of the Astrophysics Science Division at NASA Headquarters, Associate Division Chief of the Instrument Systems and Technology Division at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center, and an Instrument Manager for the Infrared Array Camera instrument on the Spitzer Space Telescope, one of NASA’s great observatories.

Dr. Jones is the recipient of the Presidential Rank Award, NASA Outstanding Leadership Medal, and the NASA Exceptional Service Medal. She is a graduate of NASA’s Senior Executive Service Candidate Development Program. She earned a Ph.D. in Systems Engineering from George Washington University, a Master of Science degree in Business Science from Johns Hopkins University, a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Howard University, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County.
