Amy Bahrani is an Aerospace & Defense strategy and consulting leader for Accenture. Accenture is a premier global professional services company that helps organizations, including nearly all Fortune 100 companies, build their digital core, optimize their operations, and accelerate revenue growth. Amy specializes in people-focused work in the aerospace and defense industry.

Her diverse experience spans the bookends of our industry – from contracts administration for a Tier 1 supplier through to flight operations for a major US airline. She now consults for global OEMs as they transform their operations and prepare their people to lead in an ever-evolving world. Throughout all these experiences, she continues to recognize the challenges suppliers, OEMs, and operators face in developing strong workforces who have future-ready skills, meaningful career pathways, and who reflect the diversity of the communities our industry serves.

She first joined the A&D community as a graduate intern with UTC Aerospace Systems (now Collins / RTX). Leveraging her master’s degree in economics and international relations, she worked for the International Trade Compliance office and was later hired full-time into Contracts Administration where she supported international development and production electric system contracts. She later joined United Airlines where she managed operational communication flow to United's 12,600 pilots, supporting nine pilot bases and five managing directors.

Key themes of her client work and research include the establishment of Transformation Management Offices, strategic culture change, operating model/org design, upskilling/reskilling strategies, and traditional organizational change management techniques. She’s passionate about supporting women and young people in our industry, as evident in her role on  Aviation Week’s Twenty 20 selection committee, speaking at HAI’s HELI-EXPO 2023 International Women’s Day panel, and her talent and workforce research published in the Commercial Insights Report.

Amy holds a Master of Economics in International Relations from the University of Wales in Aberystwyth, UK and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh.
