Are you reciting facts, or telling your story? How do you describe your career achievements, interests and goals, during performance appraisals? Development discussions? Internal and external interviews?

A clearly defined reputation can open doors to choice assignments, new job opportunities, and increased career visibility with managers, clients and co-workers. Yet, frequently, busy schedules and full lives leave little time for this important career tool. All too often valuable opportunities are missed.

In this program participants will examine how they want to be known, and begin the process of building their reputations by transforming a factual account of one career accomplishment into a concise, memorable story, with an opportunity for practice and feedback.

During the session, participants will: 

* Create an opening sentence that highlights an accomplishment and captures the listener's attention, 

* Develop the storyline with action items and details 

* Present their stories to a partner and receive feedback 

The workshop will conclude with a discussion of participant experiences, areas for development and action items that support identifying and articulating their story as they build their careers.
