 Managers are increasingly called on; even expected to, coach their teams. Research demonstrates that coaching can lead to better engagement, higher productivity, increased morale and retention, and better quality of work, and managers are uniquely positioned to coach their teams (and even their own peers and managers).  Yet few are equipped to play this role effectively, leading to frustration and disengagement. 

In this workshop, participants will delve into what it takes to coach others effectively as a manager.  (These same ideas will apply to those without direct reports who lead teams or mentor others, too.). We will explore where coaching is (and where it is not) appropriate, how to set the coaching conversation up for success, and the mindset, behavior, and skills that managers must develop to coach others successfully.
