In the spirit of the 2nd Part of WIA’s upcoming “Race and Gender Equity Program”, we are highlighting the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion efforts of our 4 Premier Partners. Today we are highlighting Noblis, Inc.
As a leading science and technology company and innovator within the federal government, Noblis values the strength that diverse, inclusive and collaborative teams bring to solve our clients' unique challenges. We’re committed to working together to continuously build an inclusive and engaging culture where all employees are empowered to reach their full potential and expected to bring our exclusive “Noblis Experience” to life every day. The Noblis Experience brings us together with a common purpose and clear service standards for interacting with colleagues and clients. At the heart of these service standards is being ethical—to do what’s right in every situation—and respectful—to collaborate with courtesy and an open mind to establish trust, strengthen relationships and value diversity.

As part of Noblis’ Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DE&I) initiatives, we formed an internal DE&I Champions League to develop overarching goals and drive lasting impacts. The DE&I Champions League, and their internal partners, are forces for change and upholding our company culture. Through their partnership, we analyze metrics and people data to ensure diversity and equity and seek tangible opportunities to remove unconscious bias. For example, the team implemented an anonymous resume submittal program. They also provide educational opportunities through speaker events, inclusive discussions, learning resources and required competencies.
Noblis also fosters Employee Resource Groups (ERGs), which are voluntary, employee-led groups based on shared interests. ERG members partner with the company on recruitment and retention initiatives, provide informal mentoring opportunities and focus on overall community engagement. These groups reinforce our goal of helping employees feel they belong and are valued for who they are. We have several existing ERGs, including Women in STEM.

These efforts build upon our commitment to embrace equality and belonging and drive greater innovation—and we’re proud of what we’ve accomplished together. We have been recognized multiple times as one of the World’s Most Ethical Companies by the Ethisphere institute, as one of the Best Small and Medium Workplaces by the Great Place to Work Institute. We have also been recognized as Glassdoor’s Employees’ Choice list of the Best Places to Work and have made the Washington Post’s Top WorkPlaces list for several years. We have been ranked among the top 50 U.S. companies with the “happiest employees” and the “best work-life balance” by Comparably and were recognized by the 2020 Women on Boards with a Winning “W” Award.
