In the spirit of WIA’s upcoming “Race and Gender Equity Program”, we are highlighting the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion efforts of our 4 Premier Partners. Today we are highlighting SAIC.

The key to SAIC’s success is our unwavering commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&I). It starts with our leadership. We set annual corporate and individual education and performance goals, drive accountability across the enterprise and measure our results. We encourage diverse teams, equitable employee experiences and an inclusive culture where all employees can be their authentic selves, feel empowered, have a flexible work environment and equal opportunities for career advancement.
 
In 2020, SAIC accelerated its actions to deliver on our DE&I commitments with four foundational pillars. 
 
SAIC has seven Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) that represent a wide variety of employee interests. Our ERGs build a more inclusive culture by raising awareness about diverse backgrounds, experiences, perspectives, identities and contribute to our business growth and success.
 
In 2020, the SAIC Charitable Foundation was launched. The non-profit foundation provides emergency funds to SAIC employees and their direct family members, (i.e. spouse, partner and dependents) when hardships arise due to federally-declared natural disasters.
 
SAIC partner with non-profit organizations, who uplift underrepresented populations and ensure equitable access to economic opportunities, education and justice. This includes, Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU’s), Hispanic Serving Institutions, Thurgood Marshal Scholarship Fund, Black Girls Code, Girls Who Code, Year Up, VA Ready and the Equal Justice Initiative (EJI).
 
SAIC's Citizenship program build partnerships with nonprofit organization’s that serve the mission and causes that matter to our employees including, Military & Veteran Resiliency, STEM, Health & Well-Being, Fighting Hunger, and Environment & Sustainability.
 
We are committed to expanding our partnerships with diverse suppliers hosting outreach sessions, mentoring and providing contract opportunities to small businesses and institutions that drive innovation, improved processes, and values diversity.
 
SAIC is making measurable progress towards our DE&I goals. We recognize that this is a journey. SAIC will continue to learn and create a diverse, equitable and inclusive culture that is enduring.

Women in Aerospace (WIA) is dedicated to expanding women's opportunities for leadership and increasing their visibility in the aerospace community. Our membership ­ women and men ­ shares an interest in a broad spectrum of aerospace issues, including human space flight, aviation, remote sensing, satellite communications, robotic space exploration, and the policy issues surrounding these fields.
